Following a business partnership separation, the client decided to relocate his dental office to a new location approximately 10 minutes away. About nine months in advance of the move while his new office was being build, he contacted FCM.
The first step was to announce the impending move to the entire patient file to build awareness and excitement. Relocating is also a great time to re-brand and take your practice to a whole new level of success, so FCM also began building the marketing plan for the new practice launch, which started with building a new brand identity. The goal was to retain 100 percent of the current patient file and, once the practice opened, switch to new patient acquisition mode with a balanced internal/external strategy: a patient referral system and targeted local community mailer campaign.
One of the first steps was to develop a unique name to represent the image of the practice. We worked with the client to help him name the new office and create a powerful brand and stationary package consistent with the new image.
In the early stages of re-branding, it’s essential to keep your new look front and center for patient visibility. For this client, professional patient communication was created in the form of a patient-directed newsletter, a patient referral program and a personalized merchandising program.
It’s vital for a website to be a clear extension of the brand identity to assist patients in learning more about your practice. In this instance, we custom designed and programmed a fully responsive (mobile-ready) website. Internet marketing was further supported by an active Facebook program that helped with regular communication about practice move progress along with the office news and more.
Your best external marketing opportunity to attract new patients resides in your local community. Your approach needs to be professional, your message needs to connect and your mailing schedule needs to be consistent.
